CapEx is currently recruiting on behalf of a Construction Group who are seeking a Purchasing Manager to join their team. The company is working on projects nationwide, typically between the €10-50m range.
As Purchasing Manager, you will be charged with procuring a substantial portfolio of materials and plant for several sites nationwide. This is a full-time permanent position and a great opportunity to join a growing, dynamic team in one of Ireland’s most successful construction groups.
THE ROLE:
- Oversee the procurement of materials, plant & equipment for the business,
- Playing a strategic role putting a structure in place for the company in line with best industry practice.
- Work alongside the Directors and supported by the Purchasing Officer and Admin Dept. to bring a Group Purchasing Strategy to the way the business manages the purchasing function.
- You will bring your experience in negotiation to put in place national agreements with the supply chain to bring consistency
- Value to the process to the benefit of both the company and the suppliers.
- Play a key role in supporting both tender and construction teams with new innovations in products and systems.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Construction Industry experience.
- Proven track record in a senior role within the Construction Industry.
- Capability to negotiate with major national suppliers and put agreements in place
- Strong communication and organisational skills with ability to manage a small team
