Capex is recruiting on behalf of a recognised Civils Contractor who are growing their team based on recent expansion and recruiting a Setting Out Engineer and a Senior Engineer for their road improvement project in County Cavan.
The road improvement project, covering 4km of work, is a €30m scheme that offers a least a year of continuous work with the opportunity to move on to future projects.
The Role:
- Maintaining site record such as daily and weekly registers
- Surveying and setting out using Total Station, GPS
- Day-to-day supervision of site personnel
- Promoting and ensuring high standards of Health, Safety and Quality on projects
- Supervising and managing sub-contractors
- Assist in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments for construction activities.
The Person:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
- 2 – 5 years’ experience
- Setting out experience – Essential
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly motivated and organised
- Highly motivated with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Technical competence in managing a team of site / setting out engineers
- Excellent people management and communication skills coupled with the ability to effectively drive the project programme and subcontractor schedules
