A leading engineering-led contractor is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team in Dublin.

The business delivers complex, large-scale engineering projects across mission-critical infrastructure and high-specification commercial developments. With a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging projects, they operate across multiple European locations and continue to expand their project pipeline.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders for large-scale mechanical installation packages, working closely with senior management, engineering teams and the wider pre-construction department.

This role would suit an estimator with experience pricing major MEP packages who is looking to further develop their career within a technically driven organisation delivering complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed mechanical estimates and tender submissions for large-scale projects

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation

• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations

• Identifying risks and opportunities during the tender process

• Supporting value engineering and cost planning exercises

• Working closely with project managers and engineering teams during pre-construction

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in mechanical estimating or pre-construction

• Proven experience pricing large-scale mechanical installation packages

• Background working with mechanical contractors, M&E contractors or main contractors

• Data centre project experience highly desirable

• Experience on commercial fit-out or large installation projects also considered

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
