The company is involved in Energy and Infrastructure projects and is seeking to strengthen is team by making a number of appointments for a major project in Co Clare which is four years duration on a single site and a challenging / interesting project to be associated with.

Location: Project Based in Co Clare
Salary: €65-70k guide

JOB SUMMARY
Project Engineer x 4
Based on a major Civil Engineering project in Co Clare, you will be responsible for overseeing a section of the works which will be either earthworks, temporary works and piling, ground dewatering and environmental monitoring or structures / rc and structural works.
This role will involve a combination of office and site based engineering activities, where you will be expected to produce reports, Risk Assessments & Method Statements while also ensuring that work packages are being executed as planned. This will be a Project Engineer role overseeing works packages, rather than self performing civils, therefore setting out works not part of the role, only 3rd party checking.
You will monitor the progress and the quality of construction work and will make sure that the works are executed in a timely manner and in conformance with the relevant design and appropriate contract.
Job Description:
- Maintain daily site records of plant, labour and production
- Physical presence required at work fronts
- Support the Project Manager in completing the list of outstanding issues.
- Ensure RAMS & ITPs are completed in conjunction with progression of works
- Ensure NCRs and defects are actioned and closed out to the satisfaction of the company.
- Regular liaison with Project Manager to ensure that subcontractor / package contractor works are delivered.
- Consult where appropriate Health & Safety to ensure that all safety standards are followed.
- Monitor sub-contractors / works contractors safety standards and ensure that they comply with standards.
Required Skills:
- Third level qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction, plus significant and relevant experience.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in Construction of large scale technical investment projects of a Civil Engineering or heavy Construction nature or similar works on a Pharmaceutical site.
- Project planning experience is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of Construction regulations.
- Thorough knowledge and relevant experience in the civil/construction industry and project engineering.
- Proficient at preparing reports
- Specialist knowledge in their expert domain
- Thorough knowledge (legal, technical, functional) of Construction management.
- English speaking
